The contest is over and it turns out there are a lot of "Southern Experts" out there!

In this contest we asked our readers to take a gander at the Southern Fried Big Johnson and see how many "references" to Southern Culture that Al the Art Guy jammed into it. Claiming to be a product of the South, and always going on about Southern-this and Barbeque-that, Al wanted to put his heritage into a shirt and we just made it into a contest. In one of his last "Dixie" style Big Johnson designs, he threw in a "whole mess of" references to all things Southern.

The point of the contest was to search through the Southern Fried Big Johnson design (click on it for a bigger version), and list all the things that have to do with the South. We even threw in ELVIS as a freebie. The more you could name, the more free stuff you won.

In the end, we picked out one lucky person who would get all the free stuff (just for entering) plus the Big Johnson Cartoon DVD and a Big Johnson T-shirt of their choice. We're contacting that person right now to let them know they've won (kinda' like the police notifying the family BEFORE they release it to the public). In the meantime, click on the Southern Fried Big Johnson on the left and check out all the answers. Some were easy enough that everyone got them...others were SO DIFFICULT that nobody guessed them correctly. (Of course, it could be that Al just couldn't draw them right)
Al the Art Guy drew lots of Southern references into this design. Click on it to find out all the things he tried to stuff in.
