| Personal trainer Dan Salas stands attentively next to his client, a 38-year old male, in a spacious room filled with your traditional workout metaldumbbells, barbells, bars. Theyre the only two working out in this private Orange County, California gym, and except for the fact that they are naked while performing forward and backwards lunges with a 50-pound weight, theres nothing unusual about the scene. Except the 50-pound weight isnt held in their hands, but attached to the shaft of their penises by a condom-like vacuum cuff filled with white lotion. Their goal? To take the size of my clients penis to the next levelin length, girth, or both, says Salas. The weird thing is that Salas client just went through a penis enlargement surgery, and the first result of such surgeries, is a smaller penis. Salas, 35, is the owner of Phallocare, a Southern California based company offering surgical and non-surgical approaches to male enhancements, says that many men are misled about the surgery. Doctors fail to mention that your penis may get smaller before it gets bigger, he says. It can be very depressing. Salas trains clients throughout Los Angeles and Orange County locations, in private gyms, hotels often in their homes. Whichever location is the most comfortable for my client, says Salas, who works under the guidance of Dr. Richard Wineland, M.D., a Urologist in Anaheim, California. During the past several years, Wineland says he has seen an increase in the number of men seeking some form of penis enhancement. I would say we get four inquiries a week from men interested in the surgery and other options. Some of the men who hire Salas as their personal penis trainer have had enhancement surgeries and require follow-up care to maximize the procedure. Others desire to avoid surgery, and opt instead to add size through a regimented personal training program. Salas provides the tools, such as vacuum-weighted pumps, controlled stretching devices like the Fast-Size Extender and training videos. As part of the learning process, he personally demonstrates the various devices on himself for clients. Salas realized a need for a pre and post-surgery program after he experienced a botched enhancement surgery in 1995. Not only was he out $10,000, but his penis also shrunk from 5 _ to 4 _ inches. In 1999 he had three subsequent corrective procedures to correct and increase the length and girth of his own penis. Doctors recommend a number of devices to stretch his penis back to the size, but offered little instruction. Thats when Salas began researching and testing the various penis stretching devices and methods to restore his size. Even though he has no formal schooling other than a high school diploma, he began approaching physicians with the records he had kept of his own journey to increase the size of his penis. He eventually designed a program for men who not only had the surgery, but also for men who wanted size, without going under the knife. The doctors confirmed that you actually lose length during the healing process, says Salas, who speaks in a very soft, whisper-like tone. During this interview he is dressed neatly dressed in aqua blue button-up shirt, blue jeans and brown shoes. At that point, I knew I had to do something. I didnt want other men to go through what I had gone through. A recent national survey reported close to 95% of men are dissatisfied with the size of their penis, yet its a concern that men often refuse to talk about; it just doesnt come up in polite company. For some reason, men equate size with manhood, says psychotherapist Dr. Ana Robles. Yet everything seems to circulate around the penis. Even men of adequate size often feel theres something wrong, that theyre small. But size definitely matters. It matters because it builds self-confidence. Men feel more of a man, more sexual prowess, with a bigger penis. In fact, most of the men who hire Salas as their personal trainer were never really that small to begin with. Most are normal-sized men, about 5-6 inches, he says. But we dont want to settle for average. Men are curious in how they can enhance themselves. The penis is the core of a mans sexuality. Penile-enhancement surgery to increase length involves making an incision at the base of the penis and snipping the ligament that anchors it to the pubic bone. This causes the portion of the penis that is normally inside the body cavity to fall forward, giving the illusion of more lengthtypically about an inch. To prevent shrinkage during the healing process, patients must hang weight from their penises for up to a few months following the procedure. Some men even opt for a second surgical option where skin is surgically removed from the lower back and buttox, and injecting it under the skin of the penis to increase girth. Patients can expect gains of about 30 percent. Salas reports he is now satisfied with his own progress, measuring in recently at a length of 7 inches and a girth of 8 _ inches (yes, this is correct). There is a third, non-surgical option that Salas has developed for clients that want to increase the length and girth of their penis without surgery. With the non-surgical route, he provides a combination of stretching devices, extenders and pumps in a regimented training program. Salas says results of _ to _ inches in length and _- 1 inch in length must be maintained or the penis will retract back to the original size. The average man who enrolls in Salass program is in his mid-30s and frequently divorced or just out of a relationship and entering the world of dating. The cost of the 6-8 month training program runs from $800-$1,000. During the past eight years he has been in business, Salas says most of his clients leave satisfiedexcept in that rare instance a man brought in a big candle about 9 inches long and 7 inches thick. He asked to be that big, says Salas. I told him you can only be as big as what we have to work with. |
